💡 What Is a Transaction Hash?
A Transaction Hash (TxHash or TxID) is a unique string of letters and numbers created when you make a cryptocurrency transaction. It works like a digital receipt and lets you:
-
Track your transaction on the blockchain
-
Confirm the status (pending/confirmed)
-
View transaction details (amount, sender/receiver, time, fee)
✅ Every blockchain (like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc.) generates its own TxHash for each transaction.
Example:
-
Bitcoin TxHash:
a1062db53e416d8f...fbf5d48d
-
Ethereum TxHash:
0xb4bc263278d3...943da26d
🛠️ Why Is It Important?
-
Verifies that your transaction was sent and confirmed
-
Helps troubleshoot failed or delayed transactions
-
Needed by support teams to assist you
-
Safe to share (it doesn’t contain personal info)
